Should I post on Youtube? 📽

Don't doubt your YouTube skills.

People are in the mood to cozy up and watch vlogs, casual chats, and long-form content.

Does anyone else fold laundry and catch up on videos?

P.S Leave a comment with your favorite YouTubers so we can compile a list!

Here is a quick guide to get you started using questions you might have if you’re on the fence of starting to post.

What if I don’t want to commit to a niche?

You don’t have to. Just think about what fires you up – cooking, travelling, gaming, fashion, pets? Or simply: what do you enjoy watching? We also suggest looking at your weekly schedule and seeing what could coincide well with your day-to-day. Vlogging is a great place to start.

Ok, but what about the camera setup?

You don't need a Hollywood studio! Grab your phone and film!  Doing a sit-down video? An iPad on a tripod or your laptop’s version of Photo Booth is great too.

What if I’m awkward? I'm used to photos.

 It's less vulnerable.

Very valid thought. The perk of a video interaction vs. a curated photo dump is that your audience really feels the closest thing to a face-to-face connection. It can still be a curated edit and it will only capture glimpses of your life you are comfortable with, but the analytics have shown it is worth a try!

So I posted or have tried and the numbers weren’t high.

Easier said than done, but don't focus on the views. Long-form is a long game. Not only do you get to have documentation of special seasons of your life, but you can build a community or reach new viewers from it.
